FOLLOWING JESUS
This topic is one that we've heard from many preachers of the Word. But do we really understand it? Are we really following Jesus as we should? This is a question we should ask ourselves very well. In Matthew 4:18-22 we see Jesus calling out the first four disciples. He goes on to call on the other disciples (Matthew 9:9; 10:1-4). I'm following Jesus, we are required to leave everything behind and follow him, because even the Apostles left what they were doing, left their families and followed Jesus. But, It's not enough to just be following Jesus, we have to make ourselves available to be used. In Acts 1:8, it says that, "but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.” So in as much as we are following Jesus, we have to be His witness in every part of our lives, wherever we find ourselves.
